鍵盤奏者Giovanni Di Domenico は多層的な文化背景をもとに、音響実験、ポップ、ジャズのあいだを自在に行き来する、唯一無二でパフォーマティブな音楽言語を確立してきた。“これまでに起きたすべてを踏まえ、いまを語る音楽”とも言えるその現代的なアプローチは、坂田明、ジム・オルーク、山本達久、灰野敬二、Chris Corsano らとの数多くの共演にも表れている。この日は関西即興シーンを横断するイガキアキコ、ワタンベ、山内弘太の3名とアバンギルドにて一夜限りのセッションを行う。

Giovanni Di Domenico was born in 1977 in Rome and is keen to point that out:in is his homecountry of Italy it was a symbolic year for extra-parliamentary movements, but also marked the end of the RAI monopoly, the rise of pirate radio stations and the arrival of punk in Italy. Influences that, at the beginning of his training, mixed in a free and chaotic way with cultural suggestions from the many countries, especially African, where he spent his childhood and youth, with memories of the musical tradition of his distant homeland – in particular opera arias – but also with classical, contemporary and jazz music, which he studied in depth at the Conservatories of Santa Cecilia and The Hague.
From these multiple influences, Di Domenico has distilled a unique and highly performative language that lies between sound experimentation, pop and jazz. Contemporary music in the strict sense, because it takes into account – one might say – everything that has happened so far and speaks to the present: this is evidenced by his countless collaborations, for example with Akira Sakata, Jim O’Rourke, Tatsuhisa Yamamoto, John Edwards, Steve Noble, Alexandra Grimal, Keiji Haino, Manuel Mota and Chris Corsano. He has released dozens of albums as a solo artist and in various collaborations with labels such as Unseen Worlds, Holidays, BlackSweat, Elsewhere, Die Schachtel, TROST, Silent Water, Tssstapes, Superpang, Kohlhaas, Matiere Memoire. He currently lives in Brussels.

ドラマー。その野性味ある独特なプレイには定評があり、バンドでの活動、様々なアーティストの録音・ライブのサポート、即興演奏、作曲、など幅広く活動中。

イガキアキコ | Akiko Igaki
音楽家・作曲家・ヴァイオリニスト。 「情景が視える音楽」をモットーに、映像作品や舞台などの劇伴制作や様々なジャンル・編成の作曲を手がける。 また、にしもとひろことのデュオ「たゆたう」や女性5人のトライバルミュージックユニット「Colloid」を自身のメインバンドに、エチオピアと日本の融合音楽「エチオピアジア」や「ジョンソンtsuバンド」のほかONI（あふりらんぽ）バンドやUAなど、幅広いジャンルの演奏サポートやインプロヴィゼーションライブも行っている。
山内弘太 | Kota Yamauchi
1986年生まれ、京都・堀川団地在住のギタリスト。歌もの、即興、映像、ダンスとの共演など国内外問わず様々な形態、環境で活動。折坂悠太（band）をはじめ数多くのバンドに参加し、演奏活動のほか、音楽イベントの企画、鯨の鳴き声レコードのリスニング会、サウンドエンジニア、作曲・楽曲提供など幅広く活動している。 Born in 1986, based in the Horikawa Housing Complex in Kyoto. Guitarist engaged in improvisational performances in diverse settings through collaborations with singer-songwriters, visual artists, and dancers, both in Japan and abroad. Has performed with numerous bands, including Yuta Orisaka (band).
